I joined the Leduc Physio team in 2015. Prior to that I completed a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education at the University of Alberta Augustana Campus. I have continued my education with specified training in functional capacity evaluation, physical job demands analysis, work hardening & conditioning, K-taping, custom orthotic assessment & development, compression sock assessment and fitting, and custom & prefabricated knee brace fitting.
I also use my creative nature regularly when fulfilling my role as Director of Marketing for Leduc Physio.
My position as a Kinesiologist allows me to support clients in a number of ways, including: -custom orthotic consultations and fittings, -custom & prefabricated braces, -compression sock fittings, -exercise therapy consultations & programming, -performing functional capacity evaluations,-work hardening and conditioning programs, -baseline concussion testing, -NormaTec recovery sessions, -and assisting with our clinics events in and around Leduc County.
My position as the Director of Marketing involves; -developing and managing visual content for media feeds and web presence, -managing social media message platforms, -creating informational tools for our clients, -and many other creative projects at the clinic.
I am motivated to help individuals learn proper exercise techniques and tools, practice healthy habits at home, and adapt fitness programs for people at every start point.
My passion for providing opportunities for people to begin a safe and structured return to fitness is rewarding; as I can play a small role in their achievements in rehabilitation and progression goals.
I thoroughly enjoy using my creativity to connect Leduc Physio with our amazing community; through social media platforms, event participation, and sharing information with individuals at the clinic.
My family lives 30 minutes south of Leduc, in Pipestone, Alberta. I grew up running a custom graze beef operation with my parents, and now live here with my husband Stefan, our daughter Nina, cat Arlo, and two rabbits (Sylvia and Winston.) We love to spend time outside and are excited to do more travelling as a family in the coming years.
When I am not at work I enjoy helping out on the farm, cooking & baking, reading, working on random woodcraft projects, cross-country skiing, playing with machinery, and long tours on my motorcycle.
I love to learn new things, and am currently taking an ASL course just for fun!
